I guess you know about adsense for publishers, which will serve pay per click ads on you’re blog. If your using wordpress then I suggest the plugin “Adsense Optimizer”, just search for it through your add new plugin interface in wordpress admin.
Make sure you sign up for an Adsense Publisher ID .
Depending on the topic of you’re blog and traffic, you can do ok with adsense ads, just make sure you blend them as seemlessly as possible into you’re blog theme, weaving them directly into you’re posts is also a good idea!

If you’re going to look for tips, I suggest you look for online forums that tackle Internet marketing and the like. The members there could help you a lot.
